The NEW & Improved Student Account Statements were sent out April 4th via your e-mail address. They are easier to read and less confusing, in general. Please refer to the example file below and to the following terms to help you understand the revisions.
The transaction table is a list showing charges/credits and their description, dates and resulting balance. Here are the column descriptions:
- "Date" the date the charge or credit was reflected in our database
- "Description" a memo field explaining charges and contributions
- "Charges" any requested contribution amount will appear in this column
- "Credits" any donation check or fundraising credit amount received will appear in this column
- "Balance" lists transaction totals reflecting "Charges" or "Credits"
At the top of the table, there is a line entitled, "Balance Brought Forward", this is the amount in the account at the end of the previous year.
Note: a negative balance means the account has a credit.
A positive balance means there are contributions requested remaining from the previous year.
Following the transaction table, is a line reading: "Requested Contribution:"
If the balance at the bottom is positive, this is the amount requested to help maintain the various programs and it will be shown here.
If the total balance is negative, "No contribution needed" will appear and we Thank You for your Support.
